Are you looking for pelvic floor physiotherapy in Barrie? You’re in the right place! I help people feel stronger, more confident, and pain-free by treating one of the most important (but often overlooked) parts of the body: the pelvic floor.
Whether you’ve just had a baby, struggle with bladder leaks, or have pelvic pain, pelvic floor physio can help.
What is the Pelvic Floor?
Your pelvic floor is a group of muscles at the bottom of your pelvis. These muscles support your bladder, uterus (if you have one), and rectum. They also help control your bladder and bowel, support your spine, and play a big role in sexual function and core strength.
When these muscles are too tight, too weak, or not working properly, you might experience symptoms like:
Leaking urine when coughing, sneezing, laughing, running or even unpredictably
Feeling heaviness or pressure
Pain with intercourse or tampon use
Lower back, hip, or tailbone pain
Core weakness after pregnancy or surgery
What Does a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist Do?
As a pelvic floor physiotherapist I am trained to assess and treat conditions related to the pelvic floor. I we offer:
✅ One-on-one assessments
✅ Gentle internal and/or external exams (only with your full consent)
✅ Hands-on treatment and guided exercises
✅ Education about bladder, bowel, and sexual health
✅ Birth Prep and postpartum rehab
✅ Rehab post C-section
✅ Home exercises tailored to your goals
✅ Supportive, respectful care every step of the way
